Lynelle Kuzont, Artist
Lynelle Kuzont is a Massachusetts and Connecticut based visual artist working through abstract expressionism as a means of reflection on the chaotic world she perceives. Fascinated by the overwhelming size and vibrations of cities, and the concept that behind every window exists a full and complex story. Lynelle is currently creating out of her Connecticut based studio— working largely with acrylic on canvas, but also with random collage materials, wood, paper, cardboard, organic materials and found objects.
Lynelle is influenced by various artists from the 1940’s Abstract Expressionist movement, as well as the 1980’s Neo-Expressionism movement. She is largely drawn toward the overall feel or emotion of imagery, as opposed to the technicality or realistic-ness of a piece. Inspired by artwork that evokes a slight nostalgia, or a subconscious emotional connection. Pieces that make you feel curious, familiar, intrigued.
